What a Sight You Are

What a sight you are.
I saw you, just there,
Through my window,
Mid-motion,
With wind in your hair.

A beauty—
Never seen before.
Where have I been?
What was I doing
Before this moment began?

I’m smitten.
Truly bitten.
Something in me changed today.
What can I do?
What can I say?

I slow down.
I stop.
I turn.
I hesitate.
Am I chasing shadows,
Or tempting fate?

No—
I’m not that man.
Not a stalker, ma’am.
Just a simple soul,
Looking for something
That might make me whole.

I’ve never believed in love at first glance.
But something about you…
Shook my stance.

Heaven made me
Soft, not slick—
A fool, perhaps,
But not a trick.

What a Sight You Are – Version II

What a sight, you are,

I glanced, from my car,

a beauty never seen,

where have I been.

I’m smitten, truly bitten,

what can I do, what can I say.

I’m stopping, to have a word, no, this is absurd.

I drive by, I stop, I turn around, am I stalking you.

I only just, saw you, I’m no stalker mam,

I’m a simple man, looking for something.

Never, did I believe, in instant love,

heaven, made me, the way I am,

just a fool, doing the best, I can.

Good afternoon, I saw you walking,

can I say, it this way. No sir, leave me,

I’m not in the mood, for you or anything.

Sorry mam, it’s just.

You, you, are so beautiful, is it ok, to say it this way.

I walk here every day, speak to me another time,

Good day.
